Well that’s four Chinese take-aways down and only a few to go withing walking distance. Why is it so bloody difficult to find a good Chinese here. Take my advice. If you ever find yourself in Portsmouth and want a Chinise go to the Yellow River restaurant at Gunwarf Quays which is, it’s fair to say, fantastic – best oriental food I’ve had in Britain. Don’t bother with the takeaways they’re rubbish. This is acutally quite a source of irritation to me as Chinese is my favouritest type of takeaway and none of the ones I’ve been to so far can to Kung Po/Gong Bao (or however you care to spell it) Chicken. Grrr.
Right food obsessed rant over lets go onto some other things.
I’m thinking of buying a little audio player, with little being the operative word. I’m considering various iRiver players but I still can’t justify the money for something that is very very non essential.
There are other things I want but don’t have the space for. The least essential of which is a car. It is starting to get irritating taking several hours longer to get to places purely because I have to take the train. So much so that when I visit my family in late May, I’m flying from Southampton to Newcastle then taking the train. It works out quicker and no more expensive.
I’d also quite like a freezer – it’s actually quite limiting not having one. We don’t actually have space for one and unfortunately the fridge we’ve got doesn’t have an ice box.
Anyhow. I don’t really know what the point of all that was. I shouldn’t really complain as I have found a way to continue lighting type stuff (I’m helping with a get-in on Sunday) and everything else is going well.
